We attended the JAWS screening at Lynn Creek Park at Joe Pool Lake on Monday night. It was a blast. The screen was set up right on the shoreline of the lake and gave the event a great atmosphere. As usual, I forgot to shoot any photos at the beginning of the night, so we're stuck with some dark shots of the crowd and the screen. We got there around 8 and they had to wait about 45 minutes for it to get dark enough for the projector and screen. There was around 150 to 200 people of all ages in attendance. It was really very well organized, the picture actually looked really good, and the sound system was great as well. We were pretty impressed. They even had a mobile concession stand there, selling popcorn, sodas, and other stuff. They were also giving out Uptown Theater cups,magnets, and pens. I'd like to give a big shout of thanks to Elspeth McDonald, Uptown Theater Grand Prairie, and The City of Grand Prairie for putting this together.
